Inside Sales Representative
The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new leads, gathering requirements, qualifying opportunities, and ensuring a smooth handoff to our field sales group. Responsibilities include setting up sales meetings, assisting in scheduling internal technical resources, proactively tracking customer activities, and updating the sales team on next steps for all new and developing opportunities. The Inside Sales Representative will rotate through two essential business units and Sales Operations teams to experience the entirety of the hydrogen market and grow their skills in sales enamblementenablement.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of achieving sales targets by sourcing new business opportunities through inbound lead management and proactive outbound lead generation. The role requires a robust analytical skill set and proficiency with a variety of software applications; specifically, Salesforce.com. Candidates should also possess the ability to address a multitude of administrative support needs promptly and professionally.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and proactive outbound lead generation activities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for the sales organization, answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information and materials as needed
- Proactively track customer activities and update sales teams on next steps for all new and developing opportunities
- Collect and document customer needs and requirements
- Thoroughly qualify and grade all new leads according to a defined set of criteria
- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
- Collaborate with marketing organization on targeted lead generation campaigns
- Occasional travel to attend industry trade shows and conferences to stimulate demand and generate leads
- Meet or exceed monthly or annual targets for lead generation and pipeline growth
- Perform other administrative and sales support duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, business, marketing, or other related field of study
- A minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience, with Energy or Industrial Gas fields preferred
- Computer and software application skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Salesforce, Hubspot, ZoomInfo and other sales enablement tools
- Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders
- Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
- Excellent follow-through
