CONTROL CENTER MANAGER

BayoTech is disrupting the established centralized hydrogen supply chain with a new, highly efficient model of local hydrogen production hubs. Producing on a small scale with our unique technology, BayoTech is making reliable, cost-effective, low-carbon hydrogen accessible today.

We are seeking a Control Center Operations Manager to join our Control Center Operations team. This is a full-time position with evening, weekend and holiday work based at our Albuquerque, NM facility.

JOB SUMMARY:

The BayoTech Control Centre will remotely monitor and control up to 20 hydrogen production Hubs across the US. An agile and skilled team of Control Room Operators, led by the Control Centre Manager, will be critical in ensuring the safe operations of the Hubs, and their ongoing, stable, and optimized hydrogen production.

The Control Centre Manager will be responsible for multiple duties which may include the following:

Supervise and coordinate the team of Control Room Operators, ensuring they work safely, following BayoTech’s operating procedures and processes.

Monitors remote Hubs using control systems to ensure operations are safe and that production optimized.

Lead the response to changes in operating conditions, ensuring all procedures and processes are followed, to ensure ongoing safe and optimized production.

Coordinate with Hub Technicians, BayoTech drivers and maintenance teams to ensure safety, production and quality standards are met at each Hub.

Set and track KPIs for the Control Centre and Control Room Operators to meet and exceed operational requirements, while identify and implement continual improvements.

Oversees the ongoing hiring, competency assessment and training of the Control Room team.

Monitor emissions and other Hub activities to ensure they are in line with applicable site permits, making recommendations and changes where required.

Develops regular and ad-hoc reports to show Hub level management information and make recommendations based upon it.

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES:

Ability to manage and motivate a small team, resolving conflicts where necessary.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate to diverse groups using multiple platforms.

Knowledge of industrial gas plant operation, engineering, or maintenance practices.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic diagrams, procedures, and technical manuals.

Ability to train and mentor employees.

Strong aptitude in math; ability to use addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, to perform flow, pressure, performance, and meter calculations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and technical datasheets.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in plant operations or industrial gases.
• Must have experience with MS-Office applications.
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
