BayoTech’s hydrogen generation systems produce local hydrogen close to the application. This saves customers money and reduces the carbon intensity associated with the legacy challenges of liquifying and transporting hydrogen. This allows BayoTech to serve a diverse set of end users, including traditional consumers in the industrial gas and chemicals industries, as well as those using hydrogen to power the fast-growing fuel cell segment.

CONTROL ROOM OPERATOR

BayoTech is disrupting the established centralized hydrogen supply chain with a new, highly efficient model of local hydrogen production hubs. Producing on a small scale with our unique technology, BayoTech is making reliable, cost-effective, low-carbon hydrogen accessible today.

We are seeking a Control Room Operator to join our Control Center Operations team. This is a full-time position with evening, weekend and holiday work based at our Albuquerque, NM facility.

JOB SUMMARY:

The BayoTech Control Center will remotely monitor and control up to 20 hydrogen production Hubs across the US. An agile and skilled team of Control Room Operators will be critical in ensuring the safe operations of the Hubs, and their ongoing, stable, and optimized hydrogen production.

The Control Room Operator will be responsible for multiple duties which may include the following:

Closely monitor all remote Hub operations on screens and computers to identify any abnormal operating and equipment conditions.

Follows procedures and processes in response to operating conditions to ensure ongoing safe and optimized production.

Identify system failures and submit corrective work order requests for maintenance technicians to troubleshoot and make repairs.

Track and record the operational status, production, and storage levels of the BayoTech Hubs using applicable control system tools.

Coordinate cross-Hub level operations activities and scheduling.

Monitor CCTV displays for unusual or hazardous activities at BayoTech Hubs.

Identify and recommend changes to improve overall Hub reliability, performance, and output.

Monitor emissions and other Hub activities to ensure they are in line with applicable site permits.

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES:

Ability to operate multiple systems/tools to effectively monitor, identify and communicate systemic/mechanical performance to internal and external teams.

Comfortable working within a fast-paced office environment, and with excellent team-working skills.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate to diverse groups using multiple platforms.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic diagrams, procedures, and technical manuals.

Proactive approach to identifying and driving opportunities for continuous improvement.

The ability to work independently and prioritize workload to ensure individual, departmental and site targets are achieved.

Knowledge of industrial plant operation, engineering, or maintenance practices.

Strong aptitude in math; ability to use addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to perform flow, pressure, performance, and meter calculations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and technical datasheets.

Ability to work in a rotating shift environment.

Must be flexible and able to work overtime, weekends and holidays if necessary.

Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.

Minimum 1-3 years industrial or power plant experience.

Must have good computer experience including MS-Office applications.

High School diploma/GED, or equivalent.

Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
