Context
BayoTech’s hydrogen generation systems will be deployed to produce hydrogen at or close to the point of use. This eliminates the cost and carbon-intensity associated with traditional production sources and enables emerging applications to benefit from inexpensive, reliable sources of hydrogen. BayoTech serves a diverse set of end users, in primarily in emerging applications such as transportation, power and back-up power.

Purpose
The Valve Engineer designs new products and testing, performs failure analysis and design improvements, and liaise with production for high pressure valves.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the conceptualization, design, and testing of new products to meet high pressure hydrogen industry needs.
Conceive and implement product and process improvements
Trouble shoot failures, identifying root causes, and creating countermeasures.
Oversee production and QA/QC.
Generate and review product documentation.
Monitor and communicate KPI’s and suggest improvements.
Provide customer support as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred
5-10 years of high-pressure valve experience (industrial or automotive), or an equivalent number of years of education and experience.
Skilled with 3D CAD modeling and drawing
Experienced diagnostician, skilled in analyzing field failures.
Familiar with tools and instruments required to repair valves.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
Strong computer and software application skills.

GD&T – working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and its real-world implications on machining, fit, and function
