Responsibilities
- The QHSE Specialist will be responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the Quality, Safety, and Environmental programs
- Responsible for assigning resources
- Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships
- Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments to support Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental management
- Make recommendations when identifying gaps or deficiencies
- Assist the leadership team to develop, manage and monitor the QHSE performance of the company
- Monitor and advise on all QHSE matters, issues, and concerns to ensure Company compliance with statutory requirements, Company and contractual requirements and good industry practice
- Liaise with Customers and Supply Chain, regarding QHSE matters, ensuring their expectations are met
- Responsible for Company’s QHSE processes and procedures to ensure the Company maintains its accreditations
- Able to Review and approve supplier / subcontractors’ documents (ITP, Quality Plan, WPS/PQRs, Test Procedures etc.)
- Responsible for management of and liaison with QHSE auditors to acquire/maintain Company’s accreditations
- Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures, identifying and assisting implementing improvements
- Report on Company’s QHSE performance to the leadership team and statutory authorities as/when required
- Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Conduct QHSE training courses using internal and external resources when required
- Maintain awareness of evolving industry QHSE regulations and best practice and how they could be applied to the Company’s operations
- Offer QHSE consultancy to the Company’s subsidiaries and affiliates when required
Professional Qualities
- Proven QHSE professional from a highly regulated industry such as Gas Processing Modules, Industrial Automation, Power Generation, or suppliers to these industries
- Excellent and topical knowledge of Quality Management Systems
- Strong leadership skills to constantly drive safety and quality improvements
- Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members
- A “hands-on” implementer of processes and change
- Sub-contractors / Supplier’s management experience
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent experience
- Experienced in managing and implementing QHSE Management System, required
- Experienced in Quality Control, Inspection, Welding, NDE and Documentation, required
- Project Management experience a plus
- ISO QHSE Lead Auditor or similar qualification, preferred
- Q&S certification required
- Knowledge of the power, gas, and process industry, preferred
