David Best

CEO & Executive Director of Engineering

 David Best is the CEO of BayoTech, bringing over 25 years of global leadership experience across the industrial gas, construction, and services industries. With two decades at Air Liquide, he held senior leadership roles across North America, Europe, and Asia, where he drove growth, operational excellence, and market expansion. Following this, David led multiple construction and service companies through strategic growth, operational transformations, and successful integrations. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, with graduate studies at McGill University and executive education from London Business School.

Brian Kellar

Chief Financial Officer

Brian brings over two decades of experience in the energy sector to his role. With a proven track record in financial leadership and strategic corporate development, Brian has played pivotal roles in leading IPOs, managing complex negotiations, and navigating companies through various market conditions. Brian served as CFO at Northwind Midstream Partners, where he contributed to the company’s formation and strategic financial planning.

Brian holds an MS in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from Texas Christian University, and a BBA from The University of Texas at Austin.

Greg Powers

Chief Innovation Officer

Greg is responsible for developing product technology roadmaps, assuring product development is seamlessly integrated with BayoTech’s Hub and production build-out schedule and in line with customer needs. He also takes part in mergers and acquisition, partnerships and licensing developments which enhance BayoTech’s ecosystem and goal of becoming the world’s leader in distributed hydrogen. 

Greg has his bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in chemical engineering, all from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jeff Bogg

Chief Development Officer

Jeff is an entrepreneurial and skilled executive working at the intersection of energy, the environment, and technology to facilitate the transition to low carbon and renewable sources of energy. Jeff joins BayoTech from Endurant Energy where he served as the Senior Vice President of Microgrid Solutions focused on the origination, structuring, and development of microgrid projects for commercial, industrial and municipal customers under Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) and EPC delivery models. His previous experience includes serving as the lead project developer for a company focused on the delivery of projects and technologies that convert municipal waste streams into biogas, renewable electricity and RNG.

Jeff holds both MA and BA degrees from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. 

Jeff Harrington

Jeff Harrington

SVP, HIGH PRESSURE EQUIPMENT

Jeff Harrington is a seasoned industrial management professional with extensive experience in business development, operations, and engineering. He brings a proven track record of driving innovation and efficiency to BayoTech’s high-pressure hydrogen equipment. Prior to joining BayoTech, Harrington played a pivotal role at Air Liquide, where he developed hydrogen strategies, secured significant federal funding for refueling projects, and supported large-scale infrastructure initiatives. His diverse background includes leadership roles at Veolia and Dow Chemical, specializing in P&L management, operations, human resources, and project execution. 

Kevin Lawlor

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Kevin brings over 25 years of extensive experience in engineering, operations management, and business development within the energy sector. He has a proven track record of success in managing large-scale projects and leading teams to deliver on strategic objectives. Kevin joins BayoTech from Ambient Fuels, where he was the Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations, managing engineering, cost estimation, financial modeling, and project development for wind, solar, and hydrogen projects.

Kevin holds a Master of Science from the University of Tulsa and a M.S. Sustainability and Environment from Harvard University.

Brian Johnson

General Counsel

Brian is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience advising and leading global companies in the energy, life sciences, and healthcare industries. In his most recent role, Brian was the General Counsel of a privately held biotechnology company.  Prior to that, Brian held executive leadership positions as Assistant General Counsel for the energy and government services division of ABM Industries, Inc. and ran global litigation for NuVasive, Inc. Brian started his legal career at Jones Day and Pillsbury, Madison and Sutro, LLP.

Brian holds a BA from the University of California Santa Barbara, a Juris Doctorate from McGeorge School of Law and a certificate of International Legal Studies and Comparative Law from the University of Salzburg, Austria.
